With nearly two decades of teaching experience in Higher and Further Education, I have served as a lecturer in institutions such as The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Dundee and Angus College, and Fife College. I have contributed as a visiting lecturer at North East Scotland College and Rose Bruford Drama School. Currently, I hold positions as a lecturer at Performing Arts Studio Scotland (part of Edinburgh College) and Kingston University. Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in course design, delivery, as well as holding the position of module lead and course co-ordinator across various academic programmes.
My areas of specialism include; Actor Training, Co-Creation Devising, Theatre rooted in Lived Experiences, and Applied Theatre. Central to my teaching philosophy is prioritising the well-being of students, integrating creative methodologies to support their holistic development within and beyond the classroom. I approach teaching through a trauma-informed perspective, collaborating closely with students to help them achieve their academic aspirations.
In recent years, my contributions to innovative digital learning methodologies have been acknowledged by the College Development Network Annual Award Ceremonies. I am privileged to be a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and hold a Master's degree in Teaching and Learning in the Performing Arts from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
